The three-inch brim is just wide enough to give a Western look but not so wide that it makes you look like a rodeo wannabe. The brim is easy to reshape -- I gave mine a Western upcurl -- but can be easily deformed. I learned this the hard way when a person who should have known better picked up my hat just to "play with it" and damaged my perfect brim-curl. No one touches my hats now.
