(More customer reviews)I made an Indian costume for my 5 year old son for Christmas (to match his sisters'). I needed a head dress because I was running out of time and couldn't spend enough of it to make him one. I found this head dress that looked great!
It probably cost more than fabric and ribbons I bought for the costume, but it was well worth the price. My son loved it! His sisters were jealous he got a big chief head dress :) The top has 2 elastics going behind (like the rim of a hat) and one going from the forhead area to the back. Those two were too long for the little guy, but are very easily adjustable.
I gave it 3 stars for durability because my son has to be careful with it. Feathers break off easily (just like any read feather would). Which is expected, but still less durable than plastic toy). The little tubes that hold feathers are kind of cheaply attached. Since it's not real leather, the ends that are sewn get ripped a bit of the sewing strings (that's the low quality part). I managed to fix them since I can sew. Those who can't sew might want to try hot glue etc.. This toy is one of the few that doesn't get to be thrown into the toy bin, but needs more care and attention.
