(More customer reviews)I received this product as a Christmas gift. I loved it! It looked great and the leather was smooth and fine. The tailoring was great. The snaps' design was neat with just the right sizing. However, I wore this vest only a few times and on approximately the forth wearing, one of my friends noticed that the left front pocket tore the leather on the front of the vest at both corners. Upon examination it was clear that the smooth fine leather was only appropriate for occasional Sunday-church and party wear. All I can assume is that the pocket got caught and the "pull" ripped the vest's front left pocket at the corners. Given that I have other leather vests, which have worn fine (admittedly the leather on my older vests is a bit heavier) this product seems to be only suited for those special dress occasions, where it will receive virtually no real utilitarian use and worn for "show" only. I must conclude that the vest wasn't designed with the appropriate reinforcement & strain relief, given the thinness of the fine leather! Too bad!
