(More customer reviews)...I bought this a while back for my Western Digital My Passport Essential SE 1 TB USB 3.0/2.0 Ultra Portable External Hard Drive (Black). The main motivation for purchasing this particular skin/cover was that I found it for dirt-cheap in a nationally-known electronics store by my home. They had it for, roughly, $5. So I picked it up.
It does what it is supposed to do. Contrary to what the other reviewer here has mentioned, it fits just fine on my Western Digital My Passport Essential SE 1 TB USB 3.0/2.0 Ultra Portable External Hard Drive (Black). My problem, more or less OCD-ish in nature, is that this skin gets incredibly dirty, linty, dusty, etc. Stuff just "sticks" to it and it just looks generally tacky that way. It also leaves a sizeable portion of the external hard drive exposed. I'm not certain of the logic behind that design; this is a skin for an external hard drive after all - it need only have a small opening in which to slide the hard drive and, of course, openings for usb/cable connections. Beyond that, it need not have as large of an opening as this one does.
All in all, if you get this for a cheap price, it might be worth it. Anything over $10 or so though, pass. I've since taken it off my external hard drive, so annoying to me is its ability to attract dust/lint/etc.
Recommend - only at a price-point under $10.
