(More customer reviews)Another case where my son LOVED the toy - until it broke less than 24 hours later. He played with it in the afternoon the day he got it, and a little the next morning and was not being rough or misusing it at all when the trigger/shooting sound just completely stopped working.
I opened it up to see if I could fix it for him: The trigger is meant to pull a little piece of metal to touch two other little pieces of metal to activate the sound. The little gear that does this is made of cheap plastic, which is what broke after just about a day of regular use (ie, normal pulling of the trigger, which is how the toy is meant to be used). Since the plastic is actually broken, there is no way to reattach the piece. Very low quality.
Given that the other reviewers had the exact same experience, and what I found when i opened up the gun, it is obvious this is a design flaw - the cheap plastic gear is just not able to withstand normal play. They should have used some sort of metal for that piece; but as is, do not buy this toy, it will be a waste of your money.
